Cold Fame - Band of Skulls

What's the point of fame if it's been abused?
What's a kid like me even got to lose?
Here I am on your bed again
It's too big for the room it's in.

Watch your face and laugh just a little bit,
Everybody knows that you're good at it,
But nothin' hurts like an answer phone
Drinkin' some, wakin' up alone.

Maybe if I try just a little more,
I can take myself from this dirty floor
and walk through buildings of elegance
Just like you are intelligent

But still I fall from grace with this microphone
How'd you find yourself if you never roam?

But, Certainly, I'm indebted baby,
Certainly, certainly, yeah.

I know my place
but it don't know me

I know my place
but it don't know me

No one wants to hear that you're breakin' up,
It wasn't long ago we said 'start me up'
Now all your dreamin' will have to wait
While you discern, you'll anticipate

Play your 45 with this late at night
Open all the windows, turn out the light
Mysterious creatures will fill the room
A midnight show just put on for you.

But still i fall from grace with this microphone
How'd you find yourself if you never roam?

Certainly, I'm indebted baby,
Certainly, certainly, yeah.

I know my place
but it don't know me

I know my place
but it don't know me

Cold fame in my brain, but
It's okay cuz i know it's the best for me

Austin City Limits

For 35 years now PBS has been bringing on the jams. Tonight's ACL episode will be one to remember. Super group Them Crooked Vultures, made up of John Paul Jones, Josh Homme, and Davel Grohl will be be performing. If you miss it on its scheduled time, do not worry for PBS is legit and have the all full episodes available online.

Standing on Gaurd for Thee

Looking forward to the 22 hours a day of Olympic coverage. I couldn't be happier with the Canadian sports media juggernauts deal to help make this the most covered Olympics ever. Not to mention how awesome the CTV 2010 website. All coverage is available live online. Now if only we could get a reliable hydraulic pump.

Roll Away Your Stone - Mumford & Sons

Roll away your stone I will roll away mine
Together we can see what we will find
Don't leave me alone at this time
For I am afraid of what I will discover inside

You told me that I wouldn't find a home
Beneath the fragile substance of my soul
And I have filled this void with things unreal
And all the while my character it steals

Darkness is a harsh term don't you think
Yet it dominates the things I see

It seems that all my bridges have been burned
But you say 'That's exactly how this grace thing works’
It's not the long walk home that will change this heart
But the welcome I receive with every start

Darkness is a harsh term don't you think
And yet it dominates the things I see
Darkness is a harsh term don't you think
And yet it dominates the things I see

Stars hide your fires
For these here are my desires
And I won't give them up to you this time around
And so I will be found
With my stake stuck in the ground
Marking the territory of this newly impassioned soul

And you, you've gone too far this time
You have neither reason nor rhyme
With which to take this soul that is so rightfully mine

Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More is ruling my life and my heart.

The Cave - Mumford & Sons

It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears
And all the faults you've left behind

The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same
I know the shame in your defeat

But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth
Which will refresh my broken mind

So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults
And despite my growing fears

But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence
When you know the maker's hand

So make your siren's call
And sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say

Cause I need freedom now
And I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be

And I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
